The tournament organizers announced that even registration opens on November 20 at 12:00 p.m. JST | 11:00 a.m. GMT+8 | November 19, 7:00 p.m. PST | 3:00 a.m. GMT. EVO 2021 Online: Street Fighter V - Asia South - Top 4! That last one is a big surprise, but a very welcome one. For those who have been watching Evo and following fighting games for a while, Marvel Vs. Capcom is an exciting series to see return to the main stage. Another moment in the spotlight gives the players who have been playing and grinding on this game over the years to show off just how much Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 has grown since its last stage appearance.
Similar to previous Evo Japan events, the games lineup features popular titles in the region, which is one of the reasons why fighting games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Mortal Kombat 11 are absent from the main stage list. EVO 2021 Online - Day 2 - Tekken 7 - Asia Region - South & East Top 4s! Now, I'm just a fan of watching EVO so when it comes to the relevance the tournament has and the viewers, Fighterz had more viewers than any game in 2018 and had similar number in 2019 and even SFV (as much hated as it is online lol) had close numbers reaching the max of 80k viewers. So the fact that the 100k who watch smash won't watch EVO anymore doesn't mean another 100k is not going to watch the other games and that's the only thing you as an organizer of this kind of events has to work with. Also viewers are important in the search of partners and sponsors but sony (being a big vg company) is alone a reason for companies to invest in the tournament.
